Adobe has put its customer-experience agent inside the assistants its customers already use, announcing on November 4 that CX Enterprise Coworker is now available within ChatGPT, Claude, Databricks Genie, Gemini for business, and Microsoft Copilot. Availability in Amazon Quick, IBM, and Snowflake is expected soon. The move takes an agent built for Adobe’s own marketing software and places it where marketing teams already ask questions and plan campaigns.

What marketers can do with it

CX Enterprise Coworker is an end-to-end agentic system for managing the customer lifecycle, from first prospect to repeat buyer. It offers data analysis and insights on campaign performance and emerging trends, enables audience forecasting, optimizes customer journeys, and resolves conflicts. The workflows run on Adobe CX Enterprise with human oversight, built on the Model Context Protocol and Agent2Agent standards.

Adobe also launched new connectors for the agent, offering pre-built Model Context Protocol server integrations with partners including Amazon Ads, Demandbase, Microsoft Work IQ, and Snowflake Cortex AI. Marketers can connect the partner systems they use without custom integration work, then use a single request to extract data and take actions across multiple systems end to end.

An ecosystem play

Adobe is also leaning on partners to scale the agent. Nine global systems integrators, including Accenture, Deloitte Digital, IBM, Infosys, PwC, and TCS, are building ready-to-use agentic solutions for specific industries on top of Coworker. Six agencies, including dentsu, Havas, Omnicom, Publicis, Stagwell, and WPP, are personalizing it with proprietary tools and industry expertise for joint clients.

The platform owners are welcoming the move. Google Cloud’s Rao Surapaneni called the Gemini integration a shared vision of open, flexible, and secure agentic AI, while Microsoft’s Rob Howard said connecting customer data, content, journeys, and enterprise systems puts agentic AI to work across the customer experience.

Both quotes frame the same bet: the assistant, not the app, is becoming the front door for enterprise software, and every vendor wants its agent waiting now on the other side of that door when a marketer asks for help.

Our read

Our read: Adobe is conceding marketers will not come to it first. By meeting them inside rival assistants, Adobe trades exclusivity for presence, betting its data and workflow depth matter more than where the conversation happens. The open question is parity: Adobe has not said whether every feature works the same way on every platform, and marketers should test that.

The timing is not accidental. On the same day, Anthropic expanded Claude’s partner marketplace to more than twenty-five agents and products, and the industry’s agent-at-work week already includes Snowflake’s night-shift coworkers. The pattern is consistent: the agent layer is becoming the product, and the established software vendors are racing to be inside it rather than beside it.

Why It Matters

For marketing teams, the change removes a daily friction: the agent that knows their campaigns, audiences, and brand rules can now be reached from the assistant they already have open, instead of requiring a separate Adobe session. That convenience is the whole pitch, and it is why platform owners welcomed the announcement in Adobe’s release.

For Adobe, the payoff is reach across more than twenty thousand brands it says use its software, without asking those brands to change tools. The risk is dependence: the more Coworker lives inside rivals’ assistants, the more its fate depends on their platforms, their policies, and their willingness to keep a competitor’s agent welcome.

Background

Background: Adobe describes CX Enterprise Coworker as an agentic teammate for customer experience orchestration, powered by Adobe CX Enterprise with human oversight. The agent joins a crowded field of workplace agents from the platform owners themselves, which is why distribution inside their assistants, rather than a standalone launch, is the story here.
