Omnichat, a Hong Kong AI-native marketing and customer experience platform, announced on October 27, 2026 that it has raised a US$10 million Series A funding round led by Openspace Capital, with Darwin Ventures and Acorn Pacific Ventures also participating. The company said it will use the money to scale its Agentic AI platform, deepen research and development on its Omni AI Agents, and accelerate its expansion beyond its Asia Pacific base. Founder and chief executive Alan Chan described the round as an important step in the company’s shift from conversational commerce to AI-driven commerce.

What The Round Funds

According to Omnichat’s announcement, the new capital will scale the company’s market presence globally, building on an operational footprint across Asia Pacific. Openspace Capital, a Singapore-headquartered multi-strategy asset manager with a long-established focus on Southeast Asia, led the round. Its portfolio includes GoJek, Kredivo and TradeGecko. Darwin Ventures and Acorn Pacific Ventures joined as participants.

The funding lands as Omnichat pushes its agent platform from chat-based selling tools into autonomous work. The company says its platform now helps businesses grow revenue without growing headcount, by letting agents carry out marketing, sales and service tasks inside customer conversations around the clock.

The Omni AI Agents

The round will scale Omni AI Agents, the suite Omnichat launched in 2026 to do the core work of marketing, sales and service teams inside the chat. Our explainer on what AI agents are sets out the goal-plan-tools loop such products package for everyday work. The suite has four parts. The AI Marketing Agent builds customer segments and generates complete messaging campaigns from a single prompt. The AI Sales Agent recommends products and closes orders inside the chat. The AI Customer Service Agent resolves customer enquiries 24 hours a day. OmniClaw, an AI business analyst, tracks customer behaviour, chat trends and store-level revenue attribution in real time.

Omnichat says adoption has been fast. OmniClaw was taken up by around 300 brands within two months of its June launch, and the number of brands using the Marketing Agent tripled over the same period. Unlike shared-inbox tools that only aggregate chats, the company says, its platform unifies marketing, sales and customer service on a single customer profile, and attributes revenue back to the conversation, including purchases completed in physical stores.

The agents run across WhatsApp, LINE, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WeChat, KakaoTalk and TikTok. Omnichat says its platform has helped 5,000 clients generate over US$100 million in revenue, with clients including Dyson, FILA, Watsons, L’OCCITANE, VF Corporation, SMCP and Mead Johnson. The company is a Meta Business Partner, a WhatsApp Business Solution Provider and a LINE Biz-Solutions Tech Partner.

Why It Matters

Omnichat’s raise shows where a slice of the agent economy is heading: not toward general-purpose assistants, but toward agents that sit inside the messaging apps where customers already talk to brands, and that can be measured by the revenue they produce. The pitch that matters here is attribution. If a chat agent can tie a conversation to a sale, including one finished in a shop, it stops being a support cost and starts looking like a sales channel, which is an easier case to make to brands deciding where to spend. A similar attribution bet sits behind Azoma’s $11.2 million Series A for shopping-agent optimisation.

The round is also a bet on Asia’s messaging-first commerce. WhatsApp, LINE, WeChat and KakaoTalk dominate daily communication across the region, and a platform that works across all of them at once has a distribution advantage over tools built for one app. The risk is the same one facing every agent startup: the underlying models are rented, the messaging platforms set the rules, and the gap between a helpful assistant and one that reliably closes sales is where these companies will be judged.

Background

Omnichat began as a conversational commerce platform helping brands sell and support customers through chat, and its Series A marks its formal move into agentic AI, where software carries out tasks rather than only answering messages. The raise follows a run of agent-platform funding rounds in 2026, as investors back startups that put agents to work in specific business functions, from shopping and hiring to customer conversations, including Town’s $108 million Series B four months after launch.
