Dayforce unveiled its Agentic HCM Platform on October 27, 2026, at its Dayforce Discover customer conference, turning its human capital management suite into a connected system where native AI answers questions, takes action and creates new work. The platform weaves AI through HR, pay, time, talent, planning and implementation, governed by a single foundation for identity, permissions, privacy, security, approvals and auditability. Select AI agent and Dayforce Deploy capabilities are available now, with more arriving at different times through 2027, and Dayforce in Claude is in beta ahead of general availability in 2027.
Ask, Act And Build Inside One System
The platform is built around a set of new building blocks. Ask Dayforce is a reimagined agentic experience that runs from the home screen through every part of the suite, with conversation at the centre, so people can start with a question, a task or an idea and finish work without hunting through menus. Dayforce AI Agents are an expanding portfolio of specialised capabilities that understand context, reason through multi-step work, surface what needs attention and take appropriate action, with hundreds of agentic tools, skills and capabilities planned across the workforce lifecycle.
Dayforce Bots are personalised AI teammates that customers create to monitor ongoing work and automate recurring or event-driven work across Dayforce and connected systems, within the permissions and approvals they define. Dayforce Build goes further: anyone can describe what they need in plain language and create Dayforce-native apps, bots and documents tailored to their business, without coding or costly customisation, all governed by Dayforce permissions, access controls, audit trails and approval workflows.
A Dayforce Marketplace completes the picture, letting customers explore, install and manage pre-built apps and bots from Dayforce, partners and other customers, while Dayforce Build Academy helps customers and partners develop the skills and certification to publish solutions for the wider community. Dayforce is also opening the platform up: experiences will appear in channels people already use, such as instant messaging tools and SMS, and plugins and connectors will let Dayforce actions and data work with external AI assistants and business systems, including new and expanded partnerships with Microsoft and Anthropic’s Claude.
Dayforce Deploy And Simpler Pricing
Dayforce Deploy is a new AI-powered approach to implementing the platform, and it targets one of the most painful parts of enterprise software: turning business requirements into a configured, tested system. It connects requirements, configuration and testing in an intelligent implementation workspace, drawing on standards proven across thousands of Dayforce implementations, with human oversight at critical decision points. The aim, Dayforce says, is to reduce repetitive work, catch issues earlier and deliver a faster, more predictable path to value.

That matters because implementation risk, not licence cost, is often what delays a new HR system. A platform that can reuse what worked before, and flag a bad configuration before it reaches payroll, changes the economics of switching systems. Dayforce also promises simpler, more predictable AI pricing, without publishing price levels.
Reimagined Experiences Across HR, Pay And Talent
Alongside the horizontal building blocks, Dayforce is reworking the experiences inside the suite. An all-new agentic Dayforce Recruiting brings CRM, high-volume workflows, contingent staffing coordination and AI agents together, and Ribbon AI technology will be integrated natively, adding AI-powered sourcing, rediscovery, voice and video interviews and candidate insights. New learning paths and conversational learning agents help employees develop faster.
Pay and workforce management get a connected schedule-to-pay lifecycle. Dayforce Command Center for Frontline Operations gives managers one place to see and address work across recruiting, onboarding, scheduling and time, while new manager time and scheduling experiences help them manage coverage, schedules and exceptions across teams and locations. Dayforce Contingent Workforce Management centralises oversight of staffing vendors, contingent labour, rates, approvals, invoicing and supplier performance, and a next-generation pay experience streamlines how payroll teams run, review and close native Dayforce Payroll across countries.
Strategic workforce planning gets its own agentic turn, with scenario modelling that lets leaders model skills, capacity, structure and costs across people and AI agents, compare scenarios and evaluate business impact before acting. A new Forms Agent turns requests into conversations, helping employees find and complete the right forms while following existing business rules and approval workflows, alongside a modernised, cross-device forms experience that preserves existing XML forms.
Why It Matters
This matters because HR software is where the agentic AI debate meets real payroll, scheduling and compliance risk, and Dayforce is betting that a governed, native foundation will beat bolt-on chatbots. If agents can be trusted with forms, schedules and pay workflows because permissions, approvals and audit trails travel with them, employers may finally let AI do routine workforce work instead of merely answering questions about it, while enterprise workflow agents are spreading through other suites and ChatGPT is being wired into enterprise systems. The test will be whether Dayforce Build and its marketplace produce useful, reusable work, or just more apps to manage, and whether verified agent identity becomes the standard that makes that trust possible.
