Google Launches A Gemini Business Hub For Small Business Owners, With Brand Styles And Connected Apps

Google has launched a dedicated business landing page inside Gemini, turning the assistant into a central hub where small business owners can build their brand, analyse finances and work with their existing tools. Google announced the tools on Tuesday, October 20, saying tens of millions of small business owners already use Gemini today.

The hub begins rolling out globally in the coming days for all Gemini app users, together with new marketing and finance skills and a wider set of connected apps.

The Gemini Business Hub: Brand, Finance And Customer Work In One Place

The new landing page is designed as a starting point for daily business tasks: building a brand, analysing finances and understanding customer insights from one surface, rather than starting from a blank chat. It is aimed at the Gemini app’s existing small-business audience, which Google says uses the assistant to brainstorm products, manage customer feedback and analyse business performance.

From the hub, owners can connect Gemini to Google’s own business tools — Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Google Workspace — and to third-party apps: Adobe, Canva, Dropbox, Shopify, Wix, Zoho and Xero. Those connections let the assistant work with the systems where a small business already keeps its listings, campaigns, files, storefront and accounts, instead of requiring uploads into a separate tool. The move extends the pattern of Gemini absorbing adjacent Google surfaces, most recently Gemini for government services, into the small-business segment.

Brand Styles With Nano Banana 2.1, And Finance Skills

The most concrete new capability is persistent brand identity. Businesses can define their brand style in Gemini by uploading a website, brand kit, fonts or colour palettes, and Gemini retains that style for future work. Paired with Nano Banana 2.1, Google’s latest image generation model, the assistant can then produce end-to-end visual results — for a product launch or an ongoing campaign — that stay on-brand without the owner re-uploading style guidelines each time.

On the numbers side, Gemini can turn spreadsheets, receipts and purchase records into financial graphics and interactive models in seconds, presenting the results as visuals rather than leaving owners to decode raw figures. Google frames both skills as time recovery: marketing and finance work that small teams normally outsource or postpone, handled inside the assistant they already open. The feature set sits within the broader Gemini product line described in our Gemini explainer, and Google points larger organisations — those needing centralised admin controls, data governance and enterprise security — to its separate business offering on Google Cloud. Plan differences are covered in our Gemini pricing comparison.

Why It Matters

The hub’s defining attribute is persistence: a remembered brand and connected accounts turn Gemini from a per-prompt tool into a standing workspace for a business. For small business owners, that lowers the practical cost of consistent marketing — the brand kit is applied automatically — and puts basic financial visualisation next to the listings and ads that drive revenue. For Google, every connected Business Profile, Ads account and Shopify store deepens the data and workflow ties that make the assistant hard to swap out, and gives its small-business ads customers a reason to start their day inside Gemini. For competing assistants courting the same segment, the bar is now a hub with memory and integrations, not a chatbot with a good image model.

Background

Google has been moving Gemini from a standalone chatbot toward the connective tissue of its products: into Search through AI Mode, into Workspace for office work, and into specialised surfaces such as the government-services preview launched this month. Small businesses were an early natural audience — owners already manage their presence through Google Business Profile and buy reach through Google Ads — so a Gemini hub that fronts both, plus the third-party tools owners actually run on, is the consumer-app version of the same integration strategy.
